FLETCHER, REED D. Age 54, of Birmingham, died December 15, 2011. He was known and loved by many. His family and friends will miss him greatly and will never forget him. He graduated from Banks High School furthering his education at and graduating with honors from UAB. He spent the last 28 years working as a horticulturist for the Mountain Brook Country Club. Reed was a kind, gentle man known for his wit, generosity, compassion for his fellow man and his unique sense of humor. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald G. Fletcher and his mother, Shirley Peters Fletcher. He is survived by his sister, Wendy Fletcher; his niece, Elizabeth Hartley; and many loving cousins, aunts & uncles. A memorial service will be held Friday, December 30, 2011 at 2:00 at South Roebuck Baptist Church, 501 Mountain Dr, Birmingham, AL 35206 with a celebration of his life immediately following.
