Ruth Goodloe Payne, 60, was born September 17, 1957 and passed away on April 24, 2018, after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was a lifelong Birmingham resident, and attended Banks High School. She was preceded in death by her father, James William Goodloe, and her brother, Walter White Goodloe. She is survived by her mother, Ruth Goodloe, son Ricky (Heather) Payne, daughter Melissa (Todd) Harris, brothers, Peter (Renate) Goodloe, Bill (Laurie) Goodloe, grandchildren, Jackson, Jordan, and Ricky Payne, Kasey Jones, Haley and Gracey Harris. A Celebration of Life will be held at Ridout's Gardendale Chapel, 2029 Decatur Highway, Gardendale, AL 35071, on Friday, April 27, 2018. Visitation will be held in the chapel from 2:00 - 4:00 pm, with a service to follow.
